GUIMARAES, Portugal (September 13, 2024) – The first American athletes have qualified through to finals after Day 2 of the 2024 Acro World Age Group Competitions in Guimaraes on Friday.
The 12-18 mixed pair of Rylee Cummins (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and George Yeramishyn (Riverside, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and the women’s group of Roni Azerrad (Rockville, Md./Xtreme Acro), Isabella Collazo (Great Falls, Va./Xtreme Acro) and Audrey Wang (North Potomac, Md./Xtreme Acro) have each advanced to final competition Friday afternoon. Cummins and Yeramishyn qualified in eighth with an all-around total of 52.200, while Azerrad, Collazo and Wang placed ninth with a 54.260 to advance.
Also competing in the 12-18 division were the women’s duos of Emma Oregel (San Antonio, Texas/Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio) and Giana Johnson (San Antonio, Texas/Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio), and Maya Lissenkova (Las Vegas, Nev./AGC Las Vegas) and Bernice Moshos (Las Vegas, Nev./AGC Las Vegas). The pairs landed ninth (26.600) and 10th (26.550) in the all-around rankings, respectively, after performing balance routines.
In the 13-19 division, the mixed pair of Hailee Wong (Colton, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy) and Andrew Castro (Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy) are comfortable in the second all-around spot with a 27.300 following their balance routine. Also competing in balance, Sydney Padios (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) and Willow Noble (Moreno Valley, Calif./Incentive – AGT) currently sit sixth in women’s pair competition with a score of 27.020 all-around.
